Browser Extension: Pacgie

This section describes how our browser extension, Pacgie, handles information. Pacgie is an SEO inspection tool that analyzes the pages you choose to scan.

Pacgie does not collect, sell, or share any personal data. It has no accounts, no analytics, no tracking, and no advertising. Everything the extension does happens locally in your browser.

What data the extension stores

• Scan results: When you scan a page, the results are stored locally on your device using Chrome's chrome.storage.session API. This storage is session-scoped — it survives tab switches and panel closes, but is automatically cleared when you restart the browser.
• Cached results are capped at the 20 most recently scanned pages, and older entries are dropped automatically.
• You can delete all stored results at any time via the extension's Settings → Clear all results option.

Network requests

Pacgie only makes network requests when you click "Scan" on a page:

• It injects a script into the current tab to read the page's meta tags, Open Graph tags, structured data, favicon links, and similar markup.
• It may fetch resources referenced by the page — such as robots.txt, sitemaps, web app manifests, and images — in order to validate them.

These requests are made only to the sites you explicitly choose to inspect, are used solely to produce the scan results shown to you, and the results are never transmitted to Pacgie's developers or any third party.

Permissions used and why

Third-party services

Pacgie does not use any third-party services, analytics, advertising, or tracking libraries. No data is sent to Pacgie developers or anyone else.

Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
